Getting to shepherd the LORD’s people is an overwhelming honor, privilege and kindness as Pastor Cody gets a front row seat to how beautiful the local church is in the purposes of God. He gets to witness different kinds of people coming together to worship and use their gifts to build up the church. So much of this beauty is quiet, behind the scenes, and goes completely unnoticed by most, but by the LORD’s grace he sometimes get to be one of the few who sees and celebrates it. Something Pastor Cody loves about pastoring Life Pointe is how loving, welcoming, and kind the community is. He knows, with confidence, that if he invites someone to come to church, or anybody manages to convince a family member or neighbor or friend to visit a Sunday service, that person will be unconditionally welcomed, greeted, seen and treated with genuine love and dignity. They might not know exactly what they’re experiencing, but they will be 100% confident that they are absolutely welcomed to get in on it! He also loves getting to serve this group of people alongside his wife Jamie and four daughters: Emissary, Mercy, Jubilee and Penny. Cody has been most influenced by the writings of CS Lewis, Jerry Bridges, Zack Eswine and John Stott. If he had to pick just one (or three) books to recommend, he might say: A Praying Life by Paul Miller, Unlimited Grace by Bryan Chapell or Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund.

Getting to walk with God's people through God's Word is one of Pastor Matt’s greatest joys in ministry. He loves Scripture because he truly believes that it is through God's Word that hearts are drawn by the Holy Spirit to confess Jesus as Lord. That is also why he feels so honored to be in pastoral ministry, because a big part of his job is to teach the Bible. He quite literally gets a front row seat to the work of God in someone's life. Something Pastor Matt loves about Life Pointe is that the love of God is on display through the actions of LPC's members. Matt, Jodie and their 2 kids, Hudson and Zoë have experienced this love and encouragement in very practical ways since arriving from Canada. There are four books Pastor Matt would recommend to our church. If you are looking for a book that helps you wrestle with some of the BIG questions people have as Christians: Tim Keller's The Reason for God. If you are looking for a book that will introduce you to some basic theology: J.I. Packer's Knowing God. And finally, if you are looking for an inspiring biography: Corrie Ten Boom's The Hiding Place or Roland Bainton's Here I Stand: A Life of Martin Luther.

There is nothing more satisfying than regularly seeing people fall in love with Jesus and walking with them as they experience the grace of God working in their lives. As a pastor, Daniel gets to do just that. Pastor Daniel loves how the people of Life Pointe show a deep sense of urgency to know the Gospel and their desire for it to impact every aspect of life. This is probably most evident in how this church consistently loves and serves one another and he gets to experience this alongside his wife Amanda and three daughters, Melody, Mia, and Moriah.
