Scripture

We believe God has revealed Himself and His expectations for His people through the writing of the Old and New Testament. These Scriptures are authoritative guidelines for our lives as we seek to follow Jesus and are meant to be lived out and obeyed. We believe these Scriptures should be regularly studied and meditated upon both individually and corporately.

God

We believe in the God of Scripture. God existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. We believe He created everything and is and has always been sovereign over all that exists.

Gospel

We believe that the Good News that Jesus Christ came, died, resurrected all because He loves us is the life-changing message entrusted to us as believers by God to bring to our world. We believe that the Gospel is for every person regardless of age, gender, background, or nationality. We believe living out and preaching the Gospel is the mission of the Body of Christ.

Humanity

We believe that man was created in the image of God and was always intended to bear that image to God’s creation. We believe that man is in a fallen state because of his rebellion against God known as sin. We believe that all of humanity’s greatest need is to be reconciled back to God.

Salvation

We believe that man is incapable of reconciling himself back to God therefore God responded to man’s need by sending His Son, fully God and fully man, to pay man’s debt of sin by being crucified on the cross. We believe that this sacrifice leaves the sin of man completely forgiven therefore making salvation available to any who would repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ.

Church

We believe that we are members of the worldwide Church, the Body of Christ. We are committed to being the Body of Christ in our community and in our world. We are committed to meeting together to worship, fellowship, and grow. We are committed to obeying Christ’s command to love God and love people. We are committed to corporately obeying and practicing the sacraments of Baptism and Communion.

Missions

We believe that Jesus intended each believer to obey His commission of “go and make disciples of all nations”. We believe that each individual believer is a missionary entrusted to carry the Gospel to all nations, from their neighborhood to across the ocean. We believe that the local church is to be involved in missions through both sending and giving.
